Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HighTech IT uses cookies and similar technologies on its website, what they are used for, and how you can control your choices.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use and protect personal information.
1. Who we are
High-Tech IT Limited, trading as HighTech IT (“HighTech IT”, “we”, “us” or “our”), is registered in England and Wales under company number 08000276. Our registered office is Chessington Business Centre, Cox Lane, Chessington, England, KT9 1SD.
Privacy contact: info@hightechit.co.uk | 020 3598 2899.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored on or accessed from your device when you visit a website. Websites may also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, scripts, local storage or other browser technologies.
These technologies can be used to make a website work, remember choices, understand how the website is used, measure performance, or support advertising and campaign measurement.
3. How HighTech IT uses these technologies
HighTech IT uses only the technologies needed for the purposes described below. Technologies that are not strictly necessary are controlled through our cookie-consent system.
| Category | Purpose | Default setting | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for core website operation, security, form functionality, consent preferences and other services you request. | On | No consent required where a legal exception applies. |
| Preferences / functionality | May remember choices or provide optional website features that are not essential to the service requested. | Off unless strictly necessary | Consent required unless a specific legal exception applies. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand website traffic, page performance and user journeys so we can improve the website. | Off | HighTech IT’s standard configuration requires consent before analytics technologies are activated. |
| Advertising / campaign measurement | May measure advertising performance, attribute enquiries to campaigns, support remarketing or enable advertising-platform tracking. | Off | Consent required before these technologies are activated. |
4. Current cookie and technology list
The current list of cookies and similar technologies used on the website is maintained in the Cookie Settings panel. For each technology, the panel identifies the name, provider, purpose, category and duration where applicable.
Because website services and providers may change over time, the Cookie Settings panel is the live record of the technologies currently enabled on the website. We review the list when website functionality or marketing technology changes.
5. Your choices
When you first visit the website, you can choose whether to allow non-essential technologies. You can:
- Accept all optional technologies;
- Reject all optional technologies; or
- Choose individual categories through Cookie Settings.
Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from accessing the main website or submitting a general enquiry, although some optional features may not operate in the same way.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by selecting the Cookie Settings link available on the website. Changing your choice will prevent the relevant optional technologies from being used in future. Where technically possible, the consent tool will also remove or expire cookies that are no longer permitted.
You may also control cookies through your browser settings, but browser controls do not replace the choices available through the website’s Cookie Settings panel.
7. Third-party technologies
Some optional website functions may be provided by third parties, for example analytics, embedded media, advertising or campaign-measurement providers. Where a third party sets or receives information through a technology on our website, we identify that provider in Cookie Settings and apply the relevant consent controls before the technology is enabled.
Third-party providers may process information under their own privacy information as well as under arrangements with HighTech IT.
Some third-party providers may process personal information outside the UK. Where HighTech IT is responsible for a restricted transfer, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and protections in accordance with UK data-protection law. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
8. Advertising and lead-generation tracking
Where HighTech IT uses advertising pixels, tags or similar technologies in connection with platforms such as search or social-media advertising, those technologies are disabled until you consent to the relevant advertising category.
If enabled, these technologies may help us understand whether an advertisement led to a website visit, enquiry or other campaign action, and may support audience or remarketing functions where those functions are used.
Submitting a HighTech IT lead form directly on a third-party platform such as Facebook or Instagram is also subject to that platform’s own privacy and technology settings. HighTech IT’s Privacy Policy explains how we handle the lead information after we receive it.
9. How long cookies last
Different technologies remain on a device for different periods. Some are session-based and expire when the browser is closed; others remain for a defined period. The specific duration for each cookie or similar technology is shown in Cookie Settings.
We do not retain a technology for longer than is appropriate for its stated purpose, and we review durations when services or providers change.
10. Consent records
We may keep a record of your cookie choices so that the website can remember and demonstrate your preferences. That record is used only for consent management, compliance and related website administration.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the website, technology providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on the website with its most recent update date.
